Our successful case for Visa is about social Impact to increase mental and physical health. It is an excellent case-study about bringing together people from CEMEA region countries and helping them to be happier, healthier and more energetic!

Goals

It’s ourfirst project for the fintech sphere in MENA. And we are proud to be a part of notjust a fitness challenge, but an activity for a good cause. 

Key goals:

•     raisingfunds for the Street Child United charity

•     gettingmore employees involved in volunteering

•     improvingthe mental and physical health of employees who participate in thischallenge.

·     employees of partner banks

My resent half a year at Visa I’ve being lucky to work for Social Impact and Sustainability, meet great people and doing truly exciting things. One of the projects I was proud to lead is the Social Impact Virtual fitness challenge «Road to Doha», connecting more than 600 people from the CEMEA region countries to virtually overcome the distance of 5000 km in the teams in 30 days. The challenge was supported by the beautiful app, tracking all the physical activities of participants, providing the insightful wellbeing advises and the platform to share your wins and achievements. Thanks to Roman Kuznetsov and Stayfitt team for support, it was pleasure to work with you on this project. We chose «Make it count» as a slogan for the challenge means that any contribution is important!

Solution

Main idea

The goalfor each team is to virtually travel 5 000 km from SanFrancisco to Doha, where 1 km = 1 charge of the activity.

This is atravel challenge, which is tied to important geographical locations for thecompany.

 

Mechanics

Participantswere divided into teams and needed to collect charges together. They recorded alltheir activity in the app: walking, running, swimming, cycling, skiing, or fitnesstraining.

Ratings of theteams, and individual participants, were available in real time.

 

Rewarding

Top 5participants received the maximum number of charges, and winning teams inthe the global challenge were rewarded.
